Timed Transitions in Adobe XD
Starting with September 2018 update of Adobe XD, we have a couple of new features including timed transitions. This feature is useful to transition between artboards based on time delay and transition of your choice. Time transitions can be used with pop-ups, progress bars, loaders, to explain user interface or app features and so on.
How to set timed transition in XD
You can set timed transition in Prototype mode. Here are the steps:- Click and drag wire between artboards.
- From Trigger drop-down list choose Time.
- Type number in the text box on the right side of Delay. That will be a time delay.
- From the action drop down you can choose Transition, Overlay or Previous Artboard then choose which animation you want from the Animation drop-down list.
Adobe XD will remember last applied settings. When you drag another wire it will pop-up dialog with last chosen(applied) settings.
